The 100th Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade steps off on Thursday, Nov. 26, 2026. Here is when it starts, where to watch, and where it goes.
Start time and how to watch
- Start: 8:30 a.m. local time in every time zone for the broadcast. The parade is scheduled to run until about noon Eastern.
- Watch live: NBC (English) and Telemundo (Spanish), with streaming on Peacock.
- Encore: A same-day replay has been listed for 2 p.m. Eastern and Pacific.
Details can change, so confirm the final schedule on NBC or Macy’s before the day.
The route
The parade starts on Central Park West at 77th Street, heads south along Central Park West to 59th Street, turns east and then south down Sixth Avenue, and ends at Macy’s Herald Square on 34th Street.
Tips if you’re going in person
- Arrive very early. The best curb spots along Central Park West and Sixth Avenue fill up well before sunrise.
- Dress for cold weather and bring layers. You may be standing for hours.
- Expect street closures and security checkpoints; use public transit.
- Check the weather. Wind can affect the large balloons, which are flown at lower heights or grounded if gusts are too strong.
